About us

Our story began in 2006 when our CEO Greg Iwacz launched the company from a small shared office space in Krakow, Poland. From early on, Greg had a straightforward, open and highly personable approach to running Black Label. He preferred to grow slowly and invest in people and their personal and professional development – he wanted Black Label to be an IT company that was built on community.

Black Label initially specialized in developing and supporting Highcharts, an interactive data visualization charting library created by the Norwegian company Highsoft.  After several years we expanded our services to include developing Javascript-based apps and data visualization consulting. We quickly became the trusted tech partners of several other Nordic startups and scaleups as well as helping countless clients across the globe improve their businesses with dataviz.

    Although the majority of us are software engineers by education, you can meet mechanics, architects, lawyers, musicians and every kind of sports enthusiast under the sun – the through line is a passion for both work and fun.
